I was slightly nervous buying these at around £70 for 2.5Gb and 2 SFP+ ports, seemed too good to be true. Pleasantly surprised as these work perfectly! Been running these for 4 months continuous with no issues.Great value for money and with 10 total ports enough connection for most setups. They seem to work at the reported speeds but I haven't pushed them to their limits. Ended up with 3 to get my whole home network to 2.5GB. Plan to use some copper modules to get the whole backbone up to 10GB at some point. The seem to run cold without SFP in use at least. Setup couldn't be easier, just plug in and go, if the device supports 2.5GB that's what you get.

Works like a champ. I am using 10gb interfaces as an uplink to a larger 10g switch and to my main PC, which is also equiped with 10gb. Using DAC SPF+ connectors. The 2.5 allows some lesser devices (like my MacBook dock ) to operate at full 2.5g speed. So I am fully utilizing the 10g and 2.5g and they do deliver in the real world. The software is pretty basic and is configured thtough an old-timey web interface, but that is the case for all of these 10/2.5 chinese switches. It will do VLANs.2 thumbs up.

I'm not sure what is going on with the listing for this item. The item I chose and received was a 5 port passive switch rated at 100/1000 Mbps bandwidth. When I click the picture, it is taking me to a listing for a 6 port 2.5 Gbps with 10Gbps SFP uplinks. Just to be clear, I'm reviewing the 5 port 1Gbps switch. It seems well constructed and functions as well as most other switches in the same price bracket, so I am content with it. For a simple home network that's wired with cat5e, this is more than sufficient. For other scenarios, like a larger business network, you probably want something with more ports and bandwidth and possibly a managed switch. For your average Joe trying to make a small home network, this is a pretty good little network switch that gets the job done.
