This is a really good kit from Yumcraft, its everything you need to cast your first squishy. However only the 500g kit comes with the flocking powder. When casting your squishy its not uncommon for them to come out wet and/or sticky even after your casting has fully cured, that is why flocking helps not only does it give your squishy a plush feel but it removes both wet and sticky in the process.So how do you get around this issue if you do not have any flocking powder?. Well I've been using 100% pure perfume free talc n powder which works very well. However for the sake of a few quid more 150% more squishy making chemicals, an extra mould of a character, more pigments and to have the flocking powder I would personally recommend the 500g pack its just simply better value all around and has more to offer then the 200g pack.The chemical solution has a cloudy white colour which slightly whitens after curing, but still rather cloudy unless you add a pigment. You can play to the natural cloudy white and add the smallest amount of red which will give a gorgeous pink. If your family with resin and or other two part mix materials then I would recommend that you play and experiment with this, if your unfamiliar I would still recommend it its a fun process to learn just remember PPE and keeping the area well ventilated.

Mit dem Silikon-Squishy-Set hatte ich jede Menge Spaß und mich auf ein kreatives Mini-Abenteuer eingelassen. Die Verpackung ist zwar eher schlicht, aber der Inhalt hat es in sich, alles drin, was man braucht, plus ein paar Extras.Der Einstieg war einfach: Silikon im 50/50-Verhältnis mischen, Farbe dazu, umrühren, ab in die Förmchen und fertig! Ein Silikon-Matte oder eine Unterlage kann ich hier nur empfehlen, denn es wird etwas chaotisch. Küchenpapier in Reichweite schadet auch nicht.Das Aushärten dauerte bei 21 °C rund fünf Stunden, also etwas Geduld mitbringen. Das Herauslösen der Figuren war ein kleines Abenteuer, aber die Freude über das Ergebnis groß. Nicht alle Formen waren gleich stabil. Das Bärenmotiv war eher empfindlich, während die Pfote gut durchhielt.Fazit: Dieses Set bringt richtig Spaß, regt die Kreativität an und sorgt für schöne kleine Erfolgserlebnisse. Zum experimentieren mit Kindern sehr zu empfehlen.

There is everything the squishier will need in this little kit. As my wife has been making things with epoxy resin for some time, she was curious to give this squishy silicone kit a try. It works on the same principal in that you mix equal parts from bottles A and B together then stir well, as you do with resin. You can add some of the pigments that come with the kit or you can get creative and use mica powder or alcohol dyes. The moulds are quite thin so be careful not to accidentally tear them when remoulding your squishie. Then there is the question of to flock or not to flock I.e. do you roll it in the flocking powder to make your squishie feel fuzzy? You could always do one of each and see which you prefer. In fact, the kit includes enough for you to make a few squishies representing good value for money and a wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon. Great fun.
