The last set I had for about 3 seasons and I only have them on mountain bikes (full and hard tail). Unfortunately, after running into several trees and other things, they just needed to come off as the ends were pretty banged up. But that's on me; not the grips. I have another set on a really old hard tail and they are still in great shape. They work really well regardless of the gloves I use and they are very comfortable. Some people complain about putting them on. I just followed the directions on the package. A little rubbing alcohol on the end of the grip and a little on the bar worked great for me. The key is to use just a little and to let it dry for at least 24 hours.UPDATED: I recently purchased a new set of these grips from Amazon and had some trouble getting them to stay on and not rotate. Initially when installing them, it was quite cold outside as it was early January. I put a small amount of alcohol on the bars and in the grips and they slid right on. However, after letting them sit for about a week, the grips did not stick to the bars as expected. I took the grips off and cleaned the end of the bars as best I could with Simple Green and wiped them down a bit more with alcohol. I took an old set of bars that I had and put them up next to the bars on my bike and it seems as though the diameter of the end of the bars was a bit smaller. I did not measure them both to see; I just eye balled it. That probably was a factor as to why they did not grip. But, I think the primary reason was because it was cold. The material that the grips are made of just did not seem as "sticky" as I would have thought they should be to grip to the bars. So I took a hair dryer and heated them up a bit. Then applied the alcohol again and they slipped on easily. I then continued to use the hair dryer on the grips to keep heat on them. After letting them sit for a few hours, they did start to stick better to the bars. After a full day, they where stuck to the bars as I would expect them to be but the very ends still had some play in them. I rode a very hard technical trail the next day with them on and they did not move at all.I think if you install these in colder weather then you may end up with the same issue. So you either have to hack on it with something like a hair dryer or wait until it is warmer.I love the feel of these grips and the length of them. Where they sit on my bars works very well for me. But that is completely personal. I like having a bit more "girth" to my grips. And I do ride with full finger gloves all the time that have little to no padding in them.

First thing I did with my new Trek bike was to replace its hard handle grips with these Oury grips, just like I used for 12 years on my previous bike. Very comfortable. Easy to install (google for instructions... I used WD40 to remove old ones, and rubbing alcohol to install the new ones.
