I am 5' 7" 160 lbs with a 33" waist with a 29" Inseam and 40" Chest (Built like an Irish Boxer). Bought the Medium Stout based on the size chart. While not as bad as the 'one size' PVC waders I have been using, these things were HUGE. The stockings are like a size 10 or 11. Had to cinch the shoulder straps as tight as they go in order to get the legs to fit properly and the torso was then tight to my armpits. Returned them. Guess that was my mistake for buying without trying. Seemed like pretty decent quality for the money. Guess I'll never know.

Used these for a week of river fishing. No leaks, kept me warm standing in cold water for hours at a time. Love the armpit high fit, having that few extra inches of coverage makes a difference. My only 2 issues: the gravel guards are way too big to do any good, they are far too loose around the ankles, and the stocking foot is way larger than described.

So, like other reviewers the sizing is tough to judge. I am 5"10 195lb with a muscular build. My measurements were all well within the specs for a medium. However, it was too tight when I tried it on. I needed a little more room around the the thighs and chest so I ordered a medium stout and it fits great. I would say if you are not a real skinny guy just spring for the stout version of whatever size you choose. Overall, they are great and very waterproof. Great flexibility and velcro shoulder straps hold tight. My only complaint is the stitching for the front pocket pouch. When you receive the waders you are supposed to remove a piece of tape that covers each glued stitching the comes through to the interior of the waders. I'm not sure how long these stitching locations will remain waterproof but, no leaks after the first 8 hours of use.

Just received these waders and they are almost a perfect fit. Figured I would pass along the information. I'm roughly 5'4" 180lbs with a 30 inseam. After looking at the sizing chart and calling a company rep, I ended up ordering the medium stout size. The waders fit with plenty of room for me to wear a bulky top. They are only slightly long but doable. A few others have mentioned that the booties are large and they are indeed. I also ordered the Caddis Flats Wading Shoe in a larger size (normally wear 8.5 shoe and ended up ordering size 10 after reading reviews). Ordering the size 10 was just what I needed as the booties fit the gap in the size perfectly (wading shoes are a bit narrow...fyi). Haven't tested yet in the waters here in the Northeast, New England waters; but they feel like they will keep me warm and dry! I will update more once I give them a thorough test.
